My family is a garden,
planted from the same seed…yet not.
Some grow best, moving with sun,
but others within shade, overcome.
‘though soil is tilled and nurtured with love;
still we cannot keep out the weeds.

I was reading about using Assonance in poems instead of strict end of line rhymes and I think that is what is happening here – seeds/weeds and sun/overcome. Whatever, it’s a lovely metaphor for the “same but not” paradox which is family…
