      1. Gosh! Depends what you’re after. Big Island was phenomenal for the nature/wildlife (e.g turtles, snorkeling, manta rays etc) /volcanoes/hiking trails but Oahu was also lovely – relaxed resorts, gorgeous beaches (surfing) and retail therapy (Ala Moana shopping centre OMG!!!)…and of course, Pearl Harbor. Very worthwhile to visit.

I’ve heard Kauai is incredible too and known as the ‘untouched nature’ Island.

So many islands all offering so much! Hence why I’m heading back 😃

      2. I can’t agree more!! I’m not sure we can do it all in one trip either 🙂 We’re really looking forward to it — thank you so much for reaching out and letting me know your experience ❤

      3. No problem! I’m sure you will love it no matter what you decide. My biggest recommendation is not to try and fit too much in! We did two islands in 13 days and it was no where near enough time 🙂

      4. Good advice! We tend to linger when we travel, like our learning, and go deep on just a few things. It sounds like we need a couple months — maybe a 6 month sabbatical? 🙂

      5. Hi! I live in Oahu now and am constantly out and about exploring all the island has to offer. Check out the “hiking” link on my blog which will take you to Trekking Thursday. I post about a new place on Oahu each Thursday. I think it will help you see what Oahu is like from a “locals” perspective. (hope you don’t mind me chiming in here Sarah)

If you are looking for a Hawaiian island to visit… you can’t go wrong with any of them! They are all so unique and special in their own way!
