More like a Thursday Door, rather than doors this week. Anyhow, I went walking up Mt Taylor on a recent visit home to Canberra, and I stumbled across this transmission station at the very top. What caught my eye was the juxtaposition of the beautiful nature and view, with this rather ugly, squat, graffitied building. I did manage to snap a closeup of the one and only door that is actually quite pretty. Sometimes you have to look a bit deeper to find the beauty…enjoy!

Looks great. Is this on the west side of Canberra? Very dry, despite clouds threatening rain.

Mt Taylor is on the Southside, between Woden and Tuggeranong

It’s a lovely “bush” city…but very dry at the moment. It’s been a long, dry, summer!

They sure don’t want people climbing up on that tower 😀
Beautiful countryside. Love the hills off on the horizon.

They sure don’t! Crazy amount of barbed wire!

I think in this case you have to look out to see the beauty. 🙂 I enjoyed the view.

I love how they have to put barbed wire around the roof so people won’t be tempted to climb the antenna. Because you just know they would otherwise.

All the graffiti points to the need for the barbed wires:( But love the killer view into the valley from this place!
