Reformation

We are caught up
in your uncanny tendencies.
Yet our vertebra demand
greater toughness from within.

We are stranded in this warren
with the muzzle of your barrel,
in our oscitant mouths.
Endeavouring for syncretism is fruitless.

We cry for reform – before we collapse.
