Diana Ross – Day 11, Hawaii Five-O

Yes, you read that title correctly.

Hawaii and Diana Ross folks.

I saw the great lady perform this evening at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center, near downtown Honolulu.

I am at a loss for words to describe the vibe in the concert hall, and the genuine love and kindness emanating from her. What a fabulous show and generous performer – giving TWO ‘hana hou’ (encores).

We only decided to go to the concert last minute after randomly seeing an ad on TV. I am so glad we did.

Ala Moana Shopping Centre – Day 9, Hawaii Five-O

Since our hotel offered a free shuttle bus to and from this world renowned shopping centre, we spent most of the day engaging in more retail therapy. Luckily we were just in time for a free hula show at 1pm!

After a quick power nap we headed down to watch the sunset over Waikiki.

Arrival – Day 2, Hawaii Five-O

We have arrived in Maui safe and sound! After being awake for 36 hours straight now I apologise for the brevity (and possible incoherence) of this post. But here is a picture of a pretty sunset as we walked into Kihei for dinner this evening…January 3rd is maxed out!
