First Blush

Illuminated
by starlight, diamonds glitter
upon fallen leaves.
This attempt to romance the
moon, thwarted by dawn’s first blush.

  1. Nice Tanka, I still prefer tanka poetry, I have tried many forms of poetry. I think tanka covers them all as a quick poem, even over haiku it puts a nice thought together in the last two lines, your own memories. April is nearly over I wrote so much poetry this month, looking forward to a bit of a break. I would like to try your weekly challenge in May. Have a great weekend,

    1. Thanks Elsie. I love the Tanka form too. It’s my favourite for your challenge 😃 this month has been tough going with the A-Z and NaPoWriMo challenges we’ve both been doing! Hope you’re having a great weekend
