Frying Pan Lake is one of the world’s largest hot pools. It is located within the hills of Echo Crater in the Waimangu Volcanic Rift Valley, New Zealand. Its acidic water maintains a temperature of about 50–60 °C (122–140 °F).

wow, I’ve never seen a hot pool so large although I’ve seen more than a few in Japan. It looks amazing.

It was as spectacular- the Waimangu is truly one of my favourite places in NZ

Me too. If we could have emigrated to be with my brother in 2014 when we sold the cottage, we would be there now. Sadly we had too much against us.
