Yellow

I glanced down at my bright, new yellow converse and smiled.

“An unnecessary indulgence,” he’d said, “Absurd and childish!”

Like him! I decided, humming the tune of These Boots Are Made For Walkin’, and left him behind, balancing and skipping my way along a matching balustrade.

  1. A lovely take Sarah, the yellow sneakers work well as these same boots. What shoes/boots can do for a woman. When I read Michael’s piece, I commented that Nancy’s piece very much reminded me of an favorite country song, 10 years old or so now, called “Red High Heels” by a Kelly Pickler. The same vibe in all three versions — yours, Nancy Sinatra’s and Kelly Pickler. Thanks again Sarah 🙂
